 When Deliverance sang their last
notes in September 1973 it wasn't
because we had lost our love of God
or the music we sang. Families
had to be raised which demanded more
of our time, so life went on.
As we know God has a plan for
everyone and all things on this
earth. Over the past 36 years
the members of Deliverance have
remained close friends and on
occasion we would sneak in a
gathering at someone's home just so
we could sing again. It didn't
take much of an excuse for the
opportunity to happen.
Now
as the years have passed we were
fortunate to be asked to reunite and
to sing in concert with some of our
dear friends, the Joymasters
Quartet. We were so honored to
have had an overflowing crowd at the
church with friends and old
acquaintances, but most of all the
Lord was there. It was truly
an amazing night for all of us.
With that came the requests from
many of our family and friends, all
asking for an anniversary CD.
As God has the plan, things have
evolved that we have indeed recorded
our Reunion CD entitled: Deliverance
Quartet Reunion-Then and Now
project. It is as always our
desire that God will bless you once
again as you listen to some of our
most requested songs of yesteryear
that we sang 36 years ago along with
a couple that we sang but were never
recorded.
Included on this project we are
privileged to have Jeanette and
Rudy's 16 year old daughter Jenny
join her mother on the piano for a
featured piano solo, and a simple
little song written by Diane in 1983
for her parents surprise 43rd
anniversary celebration titled:
Thank you For Mom and Dad.
All we can say is, Thanks For The
Memories.
